Support More Children at Chaedza Primary School

Mtima Heart Foundation currently supports two children at Chaedza Primary School in Chinhoyi, Zimbabwe. Through our work with the school, we have learnt that there are other children with educational potential whose families are struggling to meet the costs associated with keeping them in school.

We want to do more.

Our goal is to raise US$2,000 to support two additional children through Grades 6 and 7, helping them complete the final two years of their primary education with the essential resources they need.

Children considered for support will be identified and assessed in partnership with the school and in accordance with MHF's needs-assessment and safeguarding processes.

Estimated support for each child over two years:

School fees — US$350

Uniforms — US$130

Stationery and learning materials — US$160

Extra lessons and other educational support — US$270

Estimated total per child — US$910

For two children, the estimated core cost is approximately US$1,820. Our US$2,000 target provides some flexibility for changes in educational costs and additional needs during the two-year period.

If this appeal raises more than is required to support these two children, additional funds will enable MHF to assess and support other eligible children at Chaedza Primary School.
